Most people don’t wake up thinking about insulation.

At Farrow Built, we use R-28 fiberglass batt insulation in the walls of nearly every project. That might not mean much to most folks—but let me break it down for you:

• We build with two-by-eight laminated posts, giving us 7¼" of space to insulate.

  
  

• That means R-28 fits perfectly, creating a tight, energy-efficient envelope.

  
  

Prefer rockwool? You can upgrade to R-30—but what we’re doing already delivers exceptional performance.

And because our posts are spaced eight feet apart, you avoid the usual “thermal bridging” that causes so many other buildings to bleed heat. That means even with standard batts, your true combined R-value is incredible.

In the roof? We're blowing in R-40, which is more than enough for most shops, barns, and garages.
