3 Smart Add-Ons to Improve Your Building

When you're putting up a new shop, barn, or storage building, there are a few add-ons that can make a big difference in how functional and comfortable it is. Here are three I highly recommend that will improve your building:

Concrete Aprons – At the very least, adding a concrete apron outside your overhead doors helps keep dirt and mud out of your building. But if you extend it across the front, it gives you a solid space to clean vehicles, work on equipment, or just avoid tracking gravel inside.
Snow Stops – If you've got a metal roof, snow is going to slide right off. That’s great—until it piles up right in front of your doors. Snow stops help control where the snow falls so you’re not digging out every time you need to get in and out.
Ceiling Metal & Insulation – Even if you don’t insulate the whole building, insulating the ceiling helps prevent condensation and keeps things cooler in the summer. It also brightens up the space and cuts down on noise—especially useful if you’ve got animals inside and don’t want the sound of rain hammering down.
